Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Holy Family by Vasily Vereshchagin was sold in the Important Russian Art auction at Christies in London in November 2017. The price achieved of GBP 368,750.00 (€ 418,586.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300,000.00 – 500,000.00. Admittedly, works by Vasily Vereshchagin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Taj Mahal, Evening in June 2011 with an auction result of GBP 2,281,250.00 (€ 2,523,779.09).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Holy Family von Vasily Vereshchagin wurde im November 2017 in der Auktion Important Russian Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 368.750,00 (€ 418.586,11) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 300.000,00 – 500.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Vasily Vereshchagin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Taj Mahal, Evening im Juni 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.281.250,00 (€ 2.523.779,09).
