Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Portico Of A Church by Vasily Vereshchagin was sold in the Important Russian Art auction at Sothebys in London in November 2014. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 300,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 314,500.00 (€ 395,413.33). Admittedly, works by Vasily Vereshchagin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Taj Mahal, Evening in June 2011 with an auction result of GBP 2,281,250.00 (€ 2,523,779.09).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Portico Of A Church von Vasily Vereshchagin wurde im November 2014 in der Auktion Important Russian Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 300.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 314.500,00 (€ 395.413,33) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Vasily Vereshchagin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Taj Mahal, Evening im Juni 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.281.250,00 (€ 2.523.779,09).
