Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work A Street In The Town Of Rostov by Vasily Vereshchagin was sold in the Russian Pictures Including Works on Paper by Natalia Goncharova and Mikhail Larionov auction at Sothebys in London in December 2015. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 35,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 37,500.00 (€ 50,923.20). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Vasily Vereshchagin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Taj Mahal, Evening in June 2011 with an auction result of GBP 2,281,250.00 (€ 2,523,779.09).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit A Street In The Town Of Rostov von Vasily Vereshchagin wurde im Dezember 2015 in der Auktion Russian Pictures Including Works on Paper by Natalia Goncharova and Mikhail Larionov bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 35.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 37.500,00 (€ 50.923,20) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Vasily Vereshchagin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Taj Mahal, Evening im Juni 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.281.250,00 (€ 2.523.779,09).
