Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction Russian Pictures, which included the work Study For Carousel by Vasily Shukhaev. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 31,019.16) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Vasily Shukhaev achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of Madame Pavlova in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 916,000.00 (€ 1,359,297.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2018 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Study For Carousel von Vasily Shukhaev zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 27.500,00 (€ 31.019,16) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Vasily Shukhaev erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of Madame Pavlova im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 916.000,00 (€ 1.359.297,93).
