In November 2013 Christies in London held the auction Important Russian Art, which included the work A Fishing Boat In Étretat, Normandy by Vasily Polenov. The result of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 18,050.49) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Vasily Polenov achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'There were also women looking from afar off', 1908 105 x 167cm (41 1/2 x 66in). in March this year with an auction result of GBP 1,542,300.00 (€ 1,754,664.16).

Im November 2013 führte Christies in London die Auktion Important Russian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Fishing Boat In Étretat, Normandy von Vasily Polenov zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 18.050,49) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 25.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Vasily Polenov erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'There were also women looking from afar off', 1908 105 x 167cm (41 1/2 x 66in). im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.542.300,00 (€ 1.754.664,16).
