Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Nude by Vasily Polenov was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 32,291.72) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Vasily Polenov achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'There were also women looking from afar off', 1908 105 x 167cm (41 1/2 x 66in). in March this year with an auction result of GBP 1,542,300.00 (€ 1,754,664.16).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Nude von Vasily Polenov kam im November 2019 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 27.500,00 (€ 32.291,72) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Vasily Polenov erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'There were also women looking from afar off', 1908 105 x 167cm (41 1/2 x 66in). im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.542.300,00 (€ 1.754.664,16).
