Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2013 Sothebys in London held the auction Important Russian Art, which included the work Barge On The River Oka by Vasily Polenov. The price achieved of GBP 230,500.00 (€ 269,034.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Admittedly, works by Vasily Polenov have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'There were also women looking from afar off', 1908 105 x 167cm (41 1/2 x 66in). in March this year with an auction result of GBP 1,542,300.00 (€ 1,754,664.16).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2013 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Important Russian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Barge On The River Oka von Vasily Polenov zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 230.500,00 (€ 269.034,78) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Vasily Polenov auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 'There were also women looking from afar off', 1908 105 x 167cm (41 1/2 x 66in). im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.542.300,00 (€ 1.754.664,16).
