Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Vasily Polenov could be acquired at Christies in London in June 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Russian Art auction, the work Ferry at sunset changed hands for GBP 7,500.00 (€ 10,574.91) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Vasily Polenov achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'There were also women looking from afar off', 1908 105 x 167cm (41 1/2 x 66in). in March this year with an auction result of GBP 1,542,300.00 (€ 1,754,664.16).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Vasily Polenov konnte im Juni 2015 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Russian Art wechselte die Arbeit Ferry at sunset für GBP 7.500,00 (€ 10.574,91) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Vasily Polenov erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'There were also women looking from afar off', 1908 105 x 167cm (41 1/2 x 66in). im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.542.300,00 (€ 1.754.664,16).
