Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July 2018 Christies in New York held the auction First Open Online: Post-War and Contemporary Art, which included the work Midnight by Valerie Jaudon. Here, the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 5,625.00 (€ 4,805.23). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Valerie Jaudon - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Kreole, which sold at auction in February 2007 for USD 25,200.00 (€ 19,047.62).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli 2018 führte Christies in New York die Auktion First Open Online: Post-War and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Midnight von Valerie Jaudon zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 5.625,00 (€ 4.805,23) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Valerie Jaudon mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Kreole beobachtet, die im Februar 2007 für USD 25.200,00 (€ 19.047,62) versteigert wurde.
