In October 2009 Sothebys in New York held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art including Russian and Latin American Art, which included the work Figures by Valentine Prax. The result of USD 15,000.00 (€ 10,166.05) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Other works by Valentine Prax have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in July 2008 the work Paysage was auctioned for EUR 16,110.00.
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Oktober 2009 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art including Russian and Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Figures von Valentine Prax zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 10.166,05) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Valentine Prax konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Juli 2008 die Arbeit Paysage für EUR 16.110,00 versteigert.
