The work L'esprit du vin ou l'alcoolisme by Valentine Hugo was auctioned at Christies in Paris in June 2018. It achieved a price of EUR 6,875.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 38 %. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Valentine Hugo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait d'Arthur Rimbaud in March last year with an auction result of GBP 1,042,750.00 (€ 1,236,297.48).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 38 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit L'esprit du vin ou l'alcoolisme von Valentine Hugo kam im Juni 2018 bei Christies in Paris zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 6.875,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 38 %. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Valentine Hugo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait d'Arthur Rimbaud im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.042.750,00 (€ 1.236.297,48).
