In the The Hascoe Family Collection: Important Czech Art auction, the work Czech woman In A Landscape (Žena V Krajině) sold for GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,074.34) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Václav Špála achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Czech thunderstorm By The River Otava (Bouře U Otavy) in June 2011 with an auction result of GBP 187,250.00 (€ 207,157.32).
