This artwork by Václav Špála achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in November 2017. In the 20th Century Art – A Different Perspective auction, the work Czech houses & Portrait Of A Man (A Double Sided Painting) sold for GBP 72,500.00 (€ 82,298.29) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 35,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Václav Špála - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Czech thunderstorm By The River Otava (Bouře U Otavy), which sold at auction in June 2011 for GBP 187,250.00 (€ 207,157.32).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Václav Špála erzielte im November 2017 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century Art – A Different Perspective wurde die Arbeit Czech houses & Portrait Of A Man (A Double Sided Painting) für GBP 72.500,00 (€ 82.298,29) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 35.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Václav Špála mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Czech thunderstorm By The River Otava (Bouře U Otavy) beobachtet, die im Juni 2011 für GBP 187.250,00 (€ 207.157,32) versteigert wurde.
