This artwork by Václav Špála achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in November 2011. In the European Paintings auction, the work Czech two Apples And A Pear sold for GBP 15,000.00 (€ 17,510.96) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Václav Špála achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Czech thunderstorm By The River Otava (Bouře U Otavy) in June 2011 with an auction result of GBP 187,250.00 (€ 207,157.32).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Václav Špála erzielte im November 2011 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion European Paintings wurde die Arbeit Czech two Apples And A Pear für GBP 15.000,00 (€ 17.510,96) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Václav Špála erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Czech thunderstorm By The River Otava (Bouře U Otavy) im Juni 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 187.250,00 (€ 207.157,32).
