In September this year Bonhams in London held the auction Fine Japanese and Korean Art, which included the work a beauty dressed as a bugaku dancer in the role of Ranryō-ō by Utagawa Kuniyoshi. The »bidding war« ended at USD 1,920.00 (€ 1,814.06), 28% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Utagawa Kuniyoshi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mitsukuni Defying The Skeleton Spectre Conjured Up By Princess Takiyasha (Souma No Furudairi Yokai Ga Shadokuro To Tatakau Oya Notarou Mitsukuni) in November 2019 with an auction result of GBP 200,000.00 (€ 234,848.90).

Im September diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Fine Japanese and Korean Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit a beauty dressed as a bugaku dancer in the role of Ranryō-ō von Utagawa Kuniyoshi zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 1.920,00 (€ 1.814,06) und damit 28% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Utagawa Kuniyoshi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mitsukuni Defying The Skeleton Spectre Conjured Up By Princess Takiyasha (Souma No Furudairi Yokai Ga Shadokuro To Tatakau Oya Notarou Mitsukuni) im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 200.000,00 (€ 234.848,90).
