Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2002 a collector was able to acquire the work Poplars and Poles; and Dancers by Ursula Fookes for USD 597.50 (€ 604.82). This price was achieved in the auction Prints and Multiples at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 700.00 – 1,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Ursula Fookes have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Built Up Town in December this year with an auction result of GBP 2,816.00 (€ 3,243.92).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2002 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Poplars and Poles; and Dancers von Ursula Fookes für USD 597,50 (€ 604,82) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Prints and Multiples bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 700,00 – 1.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ursula Fookes auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Built Up Town im Dezember diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.816,00 (€ 3.243,92).
