Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Study For Mountain Viaduct by Ursula Fookes was sold in the Made In Britain auction at Sothebys in London in March 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 813.00 (€ 1,124.02) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ursula Fookes - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Built Up Town, which sold at auction in December this year for GBP 2,816.00 (€ 3,243.92).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Study For Mountain Viaduct von Ursula Fookes wurde im März 2015 in der Auktion Made In Britain bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 813,00 (€ 1.124,02) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Ursula Fookes mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Built Up Town beobachtet, die im Dezember diesen Jahres für GBP 2.816,00 (€ 3.243,92) versteigert wurde.
