Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Vue Du Bassin De Saint Marc, Venise by Umberto Ongania was sold in the Old Master and 19th Century Drawings auction at Artcurial in Paris in April 2008. It changed hands for a price of EUR 1,487.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 1,200.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Umberto Ongania - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Decorated gondolas in the Bacino di San Marco, which sold at auction in April 2001 for GBP 3,290.00 (€ 5,303.89).

Die Arbeit Vue Du Bassin De Saint Marc, Venise von Umberto Ongania wurde im April 2008 in der Auktion Old Master and 19th Century Drawings bei Artcurial in Paris versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 1.487,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.200,00 – 1.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Umberto Ongania mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Decorated gondolas in the Bacino di San Marco beobachtet, die im April 2001 für GBP 3.290,00 (€ 5.303,89) versteigert wurde.
