Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Umberto Ongania could be acquired at Christies in London in October 2001 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British And Continental Watercolours And Drawings auction, the work A figure on a gondola on the Grand Canal, Venice; and Sailing vessels on the Grand Canal at sunset changed hands for GBP 235.00 (€ 379.79) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 250.00 – 350.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Umberto Ongania achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Decorated gondolas in the Bacino di San Marco in April 2001 with an auction result of GBP 3,290.00 (€ 5,303.89).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Umberto Ongania konnte im Oktober 2001 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Umberto Ongania erzielen.
