Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Pretty Ricky by Umar Rashid was sold in the Collection Loïc Malle: Only Time Will Tell auction at Sothebys in Paris in April last year. The price achieved of EUR 5,040.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Umar Rashid have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Is there heaven for a collaborator/ colonizer? The Ballad of Hernan. (Or, Mission Control). in March last year with an auction result of USD 23,940.00 (€ 21,581.18).

Die Arbeit Pretty Ricky von Umar Rashid wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Collection Loïc Malle: Only Time Will Tell bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 5.040,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden.
