Auction result well in line with expectations
In April last year Sothebys in Paris held the auction Collection Loïc Malle: Only Time Will Tell, which included the work Most young Queens by Umar Rashid. The price achieved of EUR 5,292.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Umar Rashid have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Is there heaven for a collaborator/ colonizer? The Ballad of Hernan. (Or, Mission Control). in March last year with an auction result of USD 23,940.00 (€ 21,581.18).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Collection Loïc Malle: Only Time Will Tell durch, in der auch die Arbeit Most young Queens von Umar Rashid zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 5.292,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Umar Rashid auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Is there heaven for a collaborator/ colonizer? The Ballad of Hernan. (Or, Mission Control). im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 23.940,00 (€ 21.581,18).
