The work Lord Darlington by Umar Rashid was sold in the New Now auction at Phillips in New York in February 2018. The auction ended at the price of USD 3,000.00 (€ 2,456.80), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Umar Rashid have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Is there heaven for a collaborator/ colonizer? The Ballad of Hernan. (Or, Mission Control). in March last year with an auction result of USD 23,940.00 (€ 21,581.18).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Lord Darlington von Umar Rashid wurde im Februar 2018 in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 3.000,00 (€ 2.456,80) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Umar Rashid auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Is there heaven for a collaborator/ colonizer?
