This price was achieved in the auction Japanese and Korean Art at Christies in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 10,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Uemura Shoen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Beauties of the twelve months in March 2003 with an auction result of USD 399,500.00 (€ 366,513.76).

Die Arbeit Harukaze (Spring wind) von Uemura Shoen war einem Käufer im September 2002 USD 53.775,00 (€ 54.433,65) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Japanese and Korean Art bei Christies in New York erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von USD 10.000,00 um ein Vielfaches.
