Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2003 Christies in New York held the auction JAPANESE AND KOREAN ART, which included the work Beauty refreshing herself in summer by Uemura Shoen. It changed hands for a price of USD 19,120.00 (€ 17,541.28) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Uemura Shoen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Beauties of the twelve months in March 2003 with an auction result of USD 399,500.00 (€ 366,513.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2003 führte Christies in New York die Auktion JAPANESE AND KOREAN ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit Beauty refreshing herself in summer von Uemura Shoen zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 19.120,00 (€ 17.541,28) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Uemura Shoen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Beauties of the twelve months im März 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 399.500,00 (€ 366.513,76).
