Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2017 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Art – Day Sale, which included this untitled work by Chiyu Uemae. It changed hands for a price of HKD 437,500.00 (€ 48,152.04) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 350,000.00 – 450,000.00. Admittedly, works by Chiyu Uemae have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in May 2018 with an auction result of HKD 2,980,000.00 (€ 325,578.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2017 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Art – Day Sale durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Chiyu Uemae zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 437.500,00 (€ 48.152,04) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 350.000,00 – 450.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chiyu Uemae auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.980.000,00 (€ 325.578,41).
