Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Chiyu Uemae was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in December last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 24,000.00 – 40,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 25,200.00 (€ 3,019.85) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chiyu Uemae achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May 2018 with an auction result of HKD 2,980,000.00 (€ 325,578.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Chiyu Uemae kam im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 24.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 25.200,00 (€ 3.019,85) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chiyu Uemae erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.980.000,00 (€ 325.578,41).
