Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Chiyu Uemae achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in Hong Kong in March this year. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work without title sold for HKD 152,400.00 (€ 17,844.48) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chiyu Uemae achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May 2018 with an auction result of HKD 2,980,000.00 (€ 325,578.41).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Chiyu Uemae erzielte im März diesen Jahres bei Phillips in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für HKD 152.400,00 (€ 17.844,48) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 70.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chiyu Uemae erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.980.000,00 (€ 325.578,41).
