Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Blue) by Chiyu Uemae was sold in the Contemporary Art Asia auction at Christies in New York in March 2021. The price achieved of USD 4,000.00 (€ 3,406.28) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chiyu Uemae achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May 2018 with an auction result of HKD 2,980,000.00 (€ 325,578.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Blue) von Chiyu Uemae wurde im März 2021 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Asia bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 4.000,00 (€ 3.406,28) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chiyu Uemae erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.980.000,00 (€ 325.578,41).
