Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2015 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work Tracing an Ancient Error by T. V. Santhosh. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 300,000.00 (€ 35,201.02), 15% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by T. V. Santhosh have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Traces of an Ancient Error in March 2008 with an auction result of USD 337,000.00 (€ 213,223.66).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2015 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Tracing an Ancient Error von T. V. Santhosh zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 300.000,00 (€ 35.201,02) und damit 15% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von T. V. Santhosh auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Traces of an Ancient Error im März 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 337.000,00 (€ 213.223,66).
