Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2016 Sothebys in London held the auction Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art, which included the work A Survivor'S Testimony by T. V. Santhosh. The price achieved of GBP 23,750.00 (€ 26,458.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by T. V. Santhosh have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Traces of an Ancient Error in March 2008 with an auction result of USD 337,000.00 (€ 213,223.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2016 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Survivor'S Testimony von T. V. Santhosh zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 23.750,00 (€ 26.458,22) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von T. V. Santhosh auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Traces of an Ancient Error im März 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 337.000,00 (€ 213.223,66).
