Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2014 Christies in New York held the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary, which included this untitled work by T. V. Santhosh. The price achieved of USD 30,000.00 (€ 21,775.42) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Admittedly, works by T. V. Santhosh have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Traces of an Ancient Error in March 2008 with an auction result of USD 337,000.00 (€ 213,223.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2014 führte Christies in New York die Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von T. V. Santhosh zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 21.775,42) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von T. V. Santhosh auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Traces of an Ancient Error im März 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 337.000,00 (€ 213.223,66).
