In June 2016 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Boundless: Contemporary Art, which included this untitled work by Tsuyoshi Maekawa. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 75,000.00 (€ 8,763.14), 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tsuyoshi Maekawa achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Work in October 2016 with an auction result of HKD 2,720,000.00 (€ 320,087.58).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2016 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Boundless: Contemporary Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Tsuyoshi Maekawa zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 75.000,00 (€ 8.763,14) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tsuyoshi Maekawa erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Work im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.720.000,00 (€ 320.087,58).
