Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2019 China Guardian in Hong Kong held the auction Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art, which included the work Artwork(Painted In 1991) by Tsuyoshi Maekawa. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 120,000.00 – 220,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 141,600.00 (€ 16,184.67) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tsuyoshi Maekawa achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Work in October 2016 with an auction result of HKD 2,720,000.00 (€ 320,087.58).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2019 führte China Guardian in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Artwork(Painted In 1991) von Tsuyoshi Maekawa zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 120.000,00 – 220.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 141.600,00 (€ 16.184,67) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tsuyoshi Maekawa erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Work im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.720.000,00 (€ 320.087,58).
