The work Calligraphy by Tsang Tsou Choi was sold in the Contemporary Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2018. It achieved a price of HKD 212,500.00 (€ 23,927.82), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 33%. Admittedly, works by Tsang Tsou Choi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 1,840,000.00 (€ 174,606.44).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 33 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy von Tsang Tsou Choi wurde im Oktober 2018 in der Auktion Contemporary Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 212.500,00 (€ 23.927,82) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 33%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tsang Tsou Choi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.840.000,00 (€ 174.606,44).
