Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Toyohara Kunichika could be acquired at Christies in New York in January 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work A Japanese Wood-Block Print Triptych of Beauties Watching Fireworks, changed hands for USD 437.50 (€ 294.79) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 700.00 – 900.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Toyohara Kunichika achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Artisans, Beauties And Annual Events in March 2021 with an auction result of USD 56,250.00 (€ 47,900.88).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Toyohara Kunichika konnte im Januar 2008 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden.
