Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Unknown by Toyohara Kunichika was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in September last year. The price achieved of USD 828.75 (€ 847.13) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 700.00 – 900.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Toyohara Kunichika achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Artisans, Beauties And Annual Events in March 2021 with an auction result of USD 56,250.00 (€ 47,900.88).
