Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Group of 27 Woodblock Prints by Toyohara Kunichika was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in July last year. It changed hands for a price of USD 1,657.50 (€ 1,624.68) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Toyohara Kunichika achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Artisans, Beauties And Annual Events in March 2021 with an auction result of USD 56,250.00 (€ 47,900.88).

Die Arbeit A Group of 27 Woodblock Prints von Toyohara Kunichika kam im Juli letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 1.657,50 (€ 1.624,68) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.200,00 – 1.800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Toyohara Kunichika erzielen.
