Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Toyohara Kunichika could be acquired at Bonhams in New York in July last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Iron and InkPrints and Paintings, featuring Tetsubin from the Crawford Collection auction, the work A Group of 61 Woodblock Prints changed hands for USD 892.50 (€ 874.83) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Toyohara Kunichika achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Artisans, Beauties And Annual Events in March 2021 with an auction result of USD 56,250.00 (€ 47,900.88).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Toyohara Kunichika konnte im Juli letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Iron and InkPrints and Paintings, featuring Tetsubin from the Crawford Collection wechselte die Arbeit A Group of 61 Woodblock Prints für USD 892,50 (€ 874,83) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Toyohara Kunichika erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Artisans, Beauties And Annual Events im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 56.250,00 (€ 47.900,88).
