Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2008 Sothebys in Milan held the auction Contemporary Art, which included the work Impronta by Toti Scialoja. It changed hands for a price of EUR 33,150.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Toti Scialoja - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Metamorfosi, which sold at auction in November 2007 for EUR 75,800.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2008 führte Sothebys in Mailand die Auktion Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Impronta von Toti Scialoja zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 33.150,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Toti Scialoja mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Metamorfosi beobachtet, die im November 2007 für EUR 75.800,00 versteigert wurde.
