The work Unknown by Torii Kiyonaga was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2008. The result of GBP 2,500.00 (€ 3,022.69) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,500.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Torii Kiyonaga achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work ROULEAU DE MANCHE (SODE NO MAKI ) in December 2018 with an auction result of EUR 125,000.00.

Die Arbeit Unknown von Torii Kiyonaga kam im November 2008 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 2.500,00 (€ 3.022,69) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.500,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Torii Kiyonaga erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ROULEAU DE MANCHE (SODE NO MAKI ) im Dezember 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 125.000,00.
