Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2013 Christies in London held the auction The Japanese Aesthetic, which included the work A young woman tending to her bird on a veranda, a young girl next to her, signed Kiyonaga ga by Torii Kiyonaga. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 875.00 (€ 1,052.49) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Torii Kiyonaga achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work ROULEAU DE MANCHE (SODE NO MAKI ) in December 2018 with an auction result of EUR 125,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2013 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Japanese Aesthetic durch, in der auch die Arbeit A young woman tending to her bird on a veranda, a young girl next to her, signed Kiyonaga ga von Torii Kiyonaga zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 875,00 (€ 1.052,49) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Torii Kiyonaga erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ROULEAU DE MANCHE (SODE NO MAKI ) im Dezember 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 125.000,00.
