Auction result well in line with expectations
The work She's Got The Whole World in His Hands, But What's The Architecture Like And How Much Is Titanium by Torey Thornton was sold in the Post War and Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Christies in London in July 2021. The price achieved of GBP 26,250.00 (€ 30,783.57) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Torey Thornton - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Park on Log on Lawn Mower, Smash, which sold at auction in December 2020 for USD 107,100.00 (€ 87,571.55).
