Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Heal Billy by Torey Thornton was sold in the New Now auction at Phillips in London in December 2016. It changed hands for a price of GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,215.20) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Torey Thornton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Park on Log on Lawn Mower, Smash in December 2020 with an auction result of USD 107,100.00 (€ 87,571.55).
