The result of EUR 1,500.00 was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Toon Kelder achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Encounter in May 2006 with an auction result of EUR 26,400.00.

Die Arbeit A plant with red flowers near a window von Toon Kelder kam im März 2011 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 1.500,00 entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Toon Kelder erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Encounter im Mai 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 26.400,00.
