Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Tomory Dodge could be acquired at Phillips in London in December 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the New Now auction, the work Other Possibilities changed hands for GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,785.22) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,500.00 – 5,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tomory Dodge achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cotton Mouth in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 87,500.00 (€ 82,718.85).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Tomory Dodge konnte im Dezember 2018 bei Phillips in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion New Now wechselte die Arbeit Other Possibilities für GBP 2.500,00 (€ 2.785,22) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.500,00 – 5.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tomory Dodge erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Cotton Mouth im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 87.500,00 (€ 82.718,85).
