Sold at the lower estimate price
In December 2018 Phillips in London held the auction New Now, which included the work Monk by Tomory Dodge. The result of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 3,899.31) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,500.00 – 5,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tomory Dodge achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cotton Mouth in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 87,500.00 (€ 82,718.85).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Dezember 2018 führte Phillips in London die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit Monk von Tomory Dodge zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 3.500,00 (€ 3.899,31) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.500,00 – 5.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tomory Dodge erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Cotton Mouth im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 87.500,00 (€ 82.718,85).
