Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2016 Christies in London held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work Modane by Tomory Dodge. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 12,000.00 – 1,800,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 37,500.00 (€ 45,012.24) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Tomory Dodge have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2016 the work Cotton Mouth was auctioned for USD 87,500.00 (€ 82,718.85).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2016 führte Christies in London die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Modane von Tomory Dodge zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 12.000,00 – 1.800.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 37.500,00 (€ 45.012,24) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Tomory Dodge konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im November 2016 die Arbeit Cotton Mouth für USD 87.500,00 (€ 82.718,85) versteigert.
