Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2017 Phillips in London held the auction New Now, which included the work King of Spain by Tomory Dodge. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 18,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 20,000.00 (€ 22,507.07). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tomory Dodge - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cotton Mouth, which sold at auction in November 2016 for USD 87,500.00 (€ 82,718.85).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember 2017 führte Phillips in London die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit King of Spain von Tomory Dodge zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 18.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 20.000,00 (€ 22.507,07) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Tomory Dodge mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Cotton Mouth beobachtet, die im November 2016 für USD 87.500,00 (€ 82.718,85) versteigert wurde.
