The work Chanel Guillotine by Tom Sachs was auctioned at Sothebys in London in February 2011. It achieved a price of GBP 121,250.00 (€ 142,822.36), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 73%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Tom Sachs; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Tiffany Value Meal sold at auction in May last year with the realized price of USD 302,400.00 (€ 281,800.39).

Die Arbeit Chanel Guillotine von Tom Sachs kam im Februar 2011 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 121.250,00 (€ 142.822,36) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 73%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Tom Sachs; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Tiffany Value Meal im Mai letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 302.400,00 (€ 281.800,39).
