The result of EUR 1,800.00 was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 1,800.00 – 2,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tom of Finland achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled [Twelve Works|AID701324] in May last year with an auction result of USD 289,800.00 (€ 270,058.71).

Die Arbeit A Couple. von Tom of Finland wurde im November 2013 in der Auktion Modern + contemporary , Helsinki F168 bei Bukowski in Helsinki versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 1.800,00 entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.800,00 – 2.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tom of Finland erzielen.
